Merly Lyo-Dive In

Sooooooooooo..............Yeah.... Youth Olympic Games is over, I know...... In fact, it was held in this very country I now live in, Singapore, in 2010. And these are its mascots (or rather, Singapore's YOG mascots), Merly & Lyo. Yupz, not their original appearances; not that it matters to me Well, let's just say this is their teenage ver. the sketch was actually done last year, I just didn't get the chance to complete it rightaway. I'm not certain why I chose an underwater scene though (I hope Lyo's ok, he looks rather anxious).
I'd say this is my first artpiece that didn't use any lineart whatsoever. I pretty much depended on the Pen tool & Clipping masks. I also did this through the help from some tutorials
